Temporary Closure Updates

Class Cancellations

As directed by Federal/Public Health due to the current flu outbreak situation, our classes are temporarily cancelled as of March 2020 until further notice. Registrations for Spring, Summer, and Fall Term Classes are available online if you would like to book your spots for when we are all through this and together again.

We are unable to give refunds, but are happy to give a credit with no expiry date that can be used on any of the classes, workshops, camps, drop-ins, etc.

Thank you for your understanding, we will continue to monitor emails, and respond where we can.

Summer Camp Update

We have changed our Summer Camp policy in order to help make your payment easier, and to also help our business. Now, instead of paying for the full amount you will only make a deposit of $100 to secure your spot. The balance can be paid on the first day of camp. The deposit is non-refundable, but it can be used as a credit for any classes, PA days or Camps. Please note, this offer might not be available in July.

We appreciate your support and your patience! Can’t wait to see you all at the studio feeling good and being creative soon!

Message from Donna:

Hi All,

Hope you are staying safe, healthy and creative!

The Creativworks team can”t wait to re-open our studios and to be able to welcome back our artist friends, students and instructors. We are missing the rhythm, creative energy and pure joy that flows from the studios on any given day.

We hope that it will not be too far in the future we can welcome you all back but until then we will keep you posted with the up to date situation as it relates to Creativworks and the Creative Hub classes, workshops and drop in creative experiences. Even though we all are in the midst of these challenging times, we still have Spring and Mothers Day celebrations ahead. No question this year will be different then others with physical distancing in place but we are here to assist you in making it as special as ever, under the circumstances .

Our Mom’s deserve the very best, so why not give her a special gift of a Creative Experience. The Arts help us open our minds and hearts to the infinite possibilities of human ingenuity and creativity that lie in the heart and soul of us all!

*The CREATIVWORKS Gift Card can be used for future classes, drop ins and workshops.

There is a wonderful mixed menu of workshop offerings. Dates will be posted just as soon as we know when we’re able to reopen.

We’re bringing back some of your favourites and offering new ones with a Mothers Day celebration in mind.
*One of a kind Beaded Jewelry
*Glass Mosaic birdbaths
*Tea-cup/china mosaic stepping stones and/or bird feeders
*hand painted flower pots
*Mixed media, collage, paint nights
*hand painted wine glasses
*painted/resin summer trays
*charcuterie boards

To make this even more of a treat, with a purchase of a $150 CW gift card, you will also receive a bonus $45 complimentary gift card to one of our unique Friday Night drop ins. These can be purchased online, visit the creativworks website and check under the gift card section.

I hope you will enjoy and be inspired by an upcoming social media project, ”Creativity in Isolation”, I will be posting on a daily basis. My plan is to share how important creativity is in our lives…to lift spirits and to inspire our community to engage in creativity during these unsettling times.

Each day I will be posting short stories and images to showcase our studios amazingly talented teachers and our uniquely talented artist and friends from our community, and last but not least, the wonderful art from our students young and old, professional or just starting out on their creative journey. Follow us on facebook, instagram and our website for the daily postings.

We have hopes of a soft opening of our studios in June…if all goes well! We will keep the studio clean and ensure physical distancing by keeping our groups small, around 4-6 people per gathering. We can make up for lost time, finish forgotten work, or drop in to try something new. The newsletter in June will keep you all updated about the reopening.

In closing, I want to share a new trend that has popped up in the Art World! More now then ever, people are choosing to paint for fun or are leaning toward art for self-therapy, personal growth and as a retirement activity. I urge you all to “JUST DO IT”, ( one of my favourite expressions from none other then Nike : )

Stay Healthy, Safe…and Creative!
